Description of Services:

Prenatal Yoga / Fitness: Studies have shown a link between adherence to an exercise program and shorter labor times with less complications. Exercise helps alleviate many discomforts of pregnancy and supports quicker recovery times after birth. Prenatal Yoga is specifically beneficial to women who are pregnant as a way to relax, connect with their baby, and relieve some of the pains of pregnancy. It is also a less strenuous way to keep in shape during pregnancy. After pregnancy, postnatal yoga and fitness can include your baby to further your bonding.

Prenatal Visits: Prenatal Visits are a time for me to get to know you, your expectations surrounding the birth of your child, and details about your birth plan. It is a time for us to discuss different birth environments, different interventions, different techniques to help labor, the pros and cons of many modern birthing policies. I will listen to your questions and provide you with answers or resources when necessary, I will not tell you what to do, that is up to you. We can hold this visits in your home, my workspace, a teashop, or shopping spot if you would also like help in prenatal shopping for baby items—whatever makes you comfortable.

Labor Support: This is the bearing down time when the focus is on supporting you and creating a positive experience in whichever setting you have chosen. I will utilize many techniques and natural tools to help keep you comfortable, to support you and advocate for you.

Post-Partum Visits: During these visits I will check in with you to see how day to day life with the new baby is going. I will happily help with washing, feeding or cleaning up after the baby, getting some laundry finished, tidying or prepping a meal. We all need help, especially new moms. We can go over breastfeeding techniques if necessary and I can provide you with resources on a number of topics. These visits also provide that needed time to take a soak in the tub, a walk outside, or catch up on sleep.

Belly Casting: Many women want a memento of their beautiful bellies, belly casting is the way to go. Belly Casts can be hung on the wall, displayed in a baby’s nursery, or can show stages of pregnancy if you get more than one.

Belly Henna: Great for summer and women who want to bare their bellies with a little pizzazz! Henna is all natural and non-toxic, it is a plant that temporarily dyes the skin.
